Washington, DC – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced new leadership positions this month to help Democrats be successful in 2016. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) was appointed to Co-Chair the Women LEAD program with Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22).

“Debbie has been a strong and effective advocate for candidates before she was even elected to Congress. I’m confident with Debbie co-chairing this important program we can recruit and support strong women candidates to help Democrats change the landscape of Congress in 2016,” said DCCC Chairman Rep. Ben Ray Lujan.

The Women LEAD program works with women members of Congress and candidates across the country to support and help elect more women to Congress.

“When women succeed, America succeeds, which is why it’s critically important we elect more women to office, and that is what I’m determined to do,” said Rep. Debbie Dingell. “Women stand up for our families and communities and bring a commonsense voice to the policy-making dialogue, which is sorely missing in Washington. I’m honored the Chairman and Democratic leadership have put their trust in me, and working alongside my colleague from Florida, we will elect more women to Congress in 2016.”
